Our Jar Return Scheme
We have created a system to wash, sterilise and refill our glass jars! We have carried out all the testing to ensure we can clean the jars completely safely, and are delighted that this will allow all of us to reduce our carbon footprint and cut back on waste. Jars sent to us through this scheme must be in good condition without chips or cracks, and must not have been filled with any other substance.
At this point we can’t accept bottle returns until we can raise funds to purchase specialised sterilising equipment.
We can also accept your Mokosh jar lids and bottle pumps and droppers - we will pay to have these recycled with Terracycle.

2. Send jars back to us using our Reply Paid account
When you have saved a minimum of 5 Mokosh jars, you can use our Reply Paid account with Australia Post to send them back to us - we will pay postage for these. Make sure you pack them surrounded with plenty of newspaper or other compostable material so they reach us in good condition.
Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you’re planning to post us, and we will email you our reply paid postage details.
We will purchase trees!
For every 5 jars returned to us by either method (whether they are returned to a participating store or by post) we will purchase 1 tree to plant in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. This area is one of only 35 biodiversity hotspots on the planet and is located around 400km north of Perth. The trees will provide habitat for endangered species, restore degraded farm soil, recharge water systems and pull carbon out of the atmosphere. We have already bought hundreds of trees - find out more about our Buy-A-Tree Campaign here.
…for doing your part in helping us all head towards a zero waste life!
