You can choose to pay with Paymate or PayPal. Both accept Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard. They are both highly respected, well-established processors of credit card payments with high level security to protect your privacy. To find out more, look at their websites: https://www.paypal.com/au and www.paymate.com.au.
Once I’ve paid, how long will it take for my goods to arrive?
Once we receive notification of your payment, we will post your selection within one or two working days. Australia Post can take up to five working days to deliver, depending on the distance from Fremantle.
How long do your soap bars last?
Each 100g soap bar will last approximately 4 weeks, if one person showers with it each day – longer if you take 2 minute showers! It is important though, to store your soap on a soap rack out of water between uses. Our soap is so rich in natural glycerin (a humectant which attracts water, thus aiding your skin to retain water) that if you leave the soap in water it will absorb the moisture, swell and go soggy. Ideally, allow the soap to dry between each use.
Is it a good idea to use soap on your face?
I would not recommend using one of the standard soaps from the supermarket on your face. They are too drying, and usually contain synthetic fragrances and colours. Many people suffer from dry itchy skin when they use these soaps.
Our face soap, and indeed all our soaps are safe to use on the face, unless you suffer from a particular allergy, for example from one of the essential oils. If in doubt, start with our mildest, gentlest soap: Organic olive oil – fragrance free, which is also safe for babies and toddlers because it has absolutely no additives.
The skin on your face will feel clean, yet not stripped of its natural oils. You should follow the face wash with a moisturiser. If using our Natural Face Oil, don’t dry your skin completely after rinsing the soap off. Leave a light film of water and then massage a few drops of Face Oil over your face and allow up to 5 minutes for absorption.
Your creams don’t contain water. Do they leave a greasy feeling on the skin?
Only if you apply too much of them. Many people, when they first try our creams, apply a large dollop to the skin, because they are used to standard creams that contain up to 80% water. They then have to wipe off the excess with a towel. Because our creams contain no water, you need to use up to 80% less to obtain the same moisturising effect. This can take a little getting used to, but it is worth persevering until you are used to using a smaller amount. Most people find the oils are absorbed more quickly if applied after bathing, on slightly damp skin. This helps the oils spread and also aids more rapid absorption.
Will the Natural Face Oils make my skin oily?
The Natural Face Oils contain everything you would find in a normal face moisturiser, but without the water, emulsifiers, thickeners, preservatives, artificial colours, artificial fragrances and other artificial ingredients. Like our creams, you need to use only a small amount – a few drops on the tips of the fingers is sufficient, and then massage over your whole face using gentle upward strokes. The Face Oil is great for the neck too. If you find the oil hasn’t been absorbed within a few minutes, gently wipe away the excess – you have applied a little too much, but this is not problematic and will not do any harm. Within a few applications you will know how much you need to use.
What should I use on my face if I have really oily skin?
All skin needs moisturising after it has been cleansed so that it is protected against environmental bacteria and pollutants. Face Oil for Oily Skin leaves a thin protective coat of oil on the skin to provide a barrier against dirt and bacteria in the environment. Over-washing oily skin with harsh cleansers can strip the natural barrier, increasing the chance of breakouts or acne.
